Most Australians have never heard of Lawrence Bragg, though he is Australia’s first Nobel prize winner and holds the record for being the youngest ever Nobel Laureate. In the upcoming centenary years, we have the opportunity to revisit Bragg’s achievements and celebrate his legacy. At this Physics Colloquium, you will discover what links Lawrence Bragg, Alice Springs, the Great War and Australia Post. What’s more, you’ll find out how Bragg’s law underpins my research that aims to understand how proteins function and to design and develop new drugs.
