Here is George on his way into a town called Cooma, it was fairly windy, so he had to hold onto the car really tight.

I think this is coming out of Cooma, and shows what the area looks like.

George looking aerodynamic. Another shot showing what the area around Cooma looks like.

Further along the road, and another shot representative of the area. George had to really crouch down to get out of the wind for this shot.

He had to really crouch down here as well (it is the the same area actually), and is just another point of view showing what the place looked like.

George at the lookout on Brown's mountain. Some people standing by thought it was rather amusing to see a giraffe have his photo taken. :-)

Another one of those damn "representative scenery" shots, this time with a closeup of George's behind. Are those the Snowy Mountains in the background? Not easy to see I admit.

After Brown's mountain there is a dinky little town with some arbitrary Australian name (ie I can't remember what that might be). Here is George hanging on for dear life so as not to get blown away.

George at the same place, just a different view.

And again....

Here is George looking out over the town of Bega. He is at the lookout above the town. "Wow," said George, "Mary used to live here!"

Another view of George, and of the area around Bega from the lookout.

This is George at the entrance to the Bega Cheese Factory.

Here is the Bega Cheese Factory. George didn't have a look inside as there were lots of those damn tourists hanging around, he comes from a dairying area anyway so has seen lots of cheese and related stuff before and he buys Bega cheese and he had a long way to go to get back to Brisbane, so he decided to get on the road again. George thought of going down to the Victoria border so that he could say that he had been in all of the eastern states, but he decided to head north as Brisbane was a long way away.

This is a photo of George leading into the little town of Tathra on the NSW coast just outside of Bega.

This is George looking at the view of the coastline around Tathra.

Now we see George taking in the view at Chamberlain's lookout in Tathra. He had his lunch here, it was really yummy. "Thanks Zoe!," says George.

Another view of George at the same lookout.

Here is George looking at the Historic Wharf at Tathra and the coastline around Tathra. George would have had a look at the museum if he didn't have to pay an entrance fee. "Oh well," sighed George. George then had a walk along the beach at Tathra and spent some time sitting on the sand looking out to see. "It is a really choice place," thought George.

Now George is holding on for dear life again to stop being blown away at the Camel Rock lookout. The rock looks more like a camel from the road further along (true!).

This is another view from the same lookout, just looking up the beach.

After stopping here, George then hooned off and got as far north as Bateman's Bay. Here he found a motel that was charging $65 (without GST) for the room, dinner and brekky. "Wicked," said George, "another good deal." The dinner was three courses with a starter, and a damn good feed, and brekky was cooked and delivered to the room. A good deal all round!
