About
I am a physics PhD student at The University of Queensland working for Ross McKenzie and Ben Powell as part of the theory arm of the Centre for Organic Photonics and Electronics. I am investigating the effect of strong correlations in organometallic complexes (such as Ir(ppy)3) through the development and parametrisation of effective low energy Hamiltonians. We have published a review on the topic for the Journal of Materials Chemistry, which can be found here. I presented this work at ICSM 2010 in Kyoto. The slides from this talk are available here.
I did my honours project with Ben Powell and John Fjærestad on the Kadowaki Woods ratio in strongly correlated metals. A paper based on this work has been published in Nature Physics and is avaliable here.
