I am a lecturer in condensed matter theory in the physics department of the University of Queensland in Brisbane (Australia). Currently I also hold a APD fellowship funded by the Australian Research Council.
I gained my Ph.D. from the University of Bristol, where I wrote my thesis on The Interplay of Superconductivity and Magnetism in the Electrons in Solids section of the theoretical physics group under the supervision of Prof. Balasz L. Györffy and Dr. James F. Annett. I also carried out my undergraduate studies in Bristol.
My e-mail is powell@physics.uq.edu.au. During working hours (in a broad sense!) you can find me in room 430 of the Physics Annex (Building 6) (telephone +61 (0)7 3365 2401). My postal address is
Dr. Ben PowellFinally, you can send me a fax to +61 (0)7 3365 1242.
