I'm
currently looking at a quantum electro-mechanical system
consisting of a cantilever coupled to a trapped ion as
described in our previous work [Phys. Rev. A 72, 041405(R) (2005)].
Various state of the cantilever can be prepared by preparing the state of
the ion and transfering its state to the cantilever.
