Windsor Davies

Mr Davies, of Microscopes and Optical Instrument Services, Brisbane, has
many years experience with maintenance and repair of optical instruments,
He will deal with the history of the microscope from van Leeuwenhoek to
Cooke, Troughton and Simms in the twentieth century, especially the
development of the optical and mechanical components.
The lecture will be illustrated with actual examples from private
collections and the Qld Museum as well as from the Physics Museum.
