Portable sundials |
| Norman Heckenberg is Reader in Physics at the University of
Queensland and Director of the UQ Physics Museum.
Most people are familiar with sundials fixed in gardens or on walls or towers, but for several hundred years many portable dials were made, many pocket sized. Although original dials are prized collectables and expensive, reproductions are available (caveat emptor!) to play with. |
