Accommodation
Toowong Villas - a set of self-contained serviced apartments -- is located at 9-11 Ascog Terrace, near the corner with Jephson Street, in the Brisbane suburb of Toowong. International phone is +61-7-33714855; within Australia phone (07) 33714855. Toowong Village shopping center, Toowong train station, a number of local restaurants and cafes, and the bus stop to the St Lucia Campus of the University of Queensland are all a few minutes walk from Toowong Villas. St Lucia is the suburb next to Toowong.

From the Airport
Toowong Villas and the University's St Lucia campus are about 30 minutes drive from the Brisbane airport. Taxi fares usually run to AU$30-35 or so. Alternately, travelers can take a bus or the Air-train ($9 one way) from the airport to the Brisbane city center (Central Train Station), and then catch a taxi or bus (from the bus stop on Adelaide Street) for the remainder of the way to the campus or to the hotel. If you are new to Brisbane, we recommend to catch a taxi from the Airport all the way to the hotel or to the University of Queensland (St Lucia campus).
If you are arriving to UQ by a taxi, you can either disembark at Chancellors place and walk to the Physics Annexe (Building 6), or alternatively ask the driver to drive to Staff House Road and disembark near the Staff House, Building No. 41 (next to the ANZ Bank).
Getting around
Public transport to and from UQ's St Lucia campus is very good; for general timetable information on all public transport services in Queensland visit the transinfo page or phone 13 12 30. There is a very regular bus service that links Toowong with the inner city (also referred to as Brisbane CBD -- Central Business District) and the University, in opposite directions. The 411, 402, and 412 buses all go to the University, and may be caught from the bus stop near Toowong train station (a few minutes walk from Toowong Villas), on the corner of High Street and Benson Street. In the reverse direction, the 411 and 412 buses (and train) go to the city center, both arriving to Adelaide Street (Central Train Station). Toowong is half way in between the University and the city center. If you are travlling from the University to the city center direct, you can also take the express ("Rocket") bus No. 407 which does not stop in Toowong. Coronation Drive is the main road connecting Toowong with the inner city, while Sir Fred Schonell Drive (comes after Benson Street, Brisbane Street, and a short section of Gailey Road) connects Toowong with the St Lucia Campus of the University.

- Bus No. 411: connects St Lucia - Toowong (via Hawken Drive) - City Center
- Bus No. 402: connects St Lucia - Toowong (via Sir Fred Schonell Drive)
- Bus No. 407: connects St Lucia - City Center (no stop in Toowong)

Department of Physics, University of Queensland (St Lucia Campus)
If you are arriving on a bus, you have to disembark at the University's main bus stop, at Chancellors Place (Building No. 77 on the Campus Map below). The Department of Physics is located in Physics Annex (Building No. 6 on the Campus Map) near the Great Court. From the bus stop, it's a 2 minutes walk, pass the Buildings 61, 62, 69, and 67 (see the Campus Map).
If you are arriving by a taxi, you can either disembark at Chancellors place and walk to the Physics Annexe (Building 6), or alternatively ask the driver to drive to Staff House Road and disembark near the Staff House, Building No. 41 (next to the ANZ Bank).

The ACQAO offices are located in the newly refurbished office space (Rooms 401-410) on the Level 4 of the Physics Annexe (Building 6).
